Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans & other teams face music on copyright issue

Preity Zinta (Punjab Kings) New Delhi:  The Recorded Music Performance Ltd (RMPL) the sole Copyright Society registered by the Government of India for managing Sound Recordings, has filed a suit for copyright infringement for songs played at the Gujarat Titans games played at Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad on behalf of one of its members. It is to be noted that a police complaint for copyright infringement of a song against Punjab Kings (PBKS) has been filed by RMPL in Mohali near  Chandigarh. A police complaint has also been made in Lucknow against Lucknow Supergiants (LSG). Mr. Sowmya Chowdhury, CEO of RMPL stated that RMPL is on its way to creating a platform in India where all Music Labels registered with RMPL, will get their rightful dues. “We ensure that the users of the music belonging to our members are provided due information about the Copyright Act well in advance. L-G Delhi pats Femina Miss India 2023-1st Runner-Up Shreya Poonja for her feat

 L-G Delhi VK Saxena felicitates  Femina Miss India 2023-1st Runner-Up Shreya Poonja   New Delhi:  Femina Miss India 2023-1st Runner-Up Shreya Poonja met with L-G Delhi VK Saxena here.  The L-G felicitated Shreya and hailed her feat. Shreya, who met L-G Saxena at Raj Niwas, expressed her gratitude to him and said that the words of encouragement and compliments of Delhi L-G mean a lot to her. “I am feeling so motivated and happy after meeting him,” she said. Earlier, she visited Deshbandhu College of Delhi University where she has done graduation in Economics. She met teachers, students and Principal Prof Rajiv Aggarwal. Shreya also visited St Anthony's School from where she did her schooling.  “I owe my success to my college and school for the values I received here,” said Shreya.
