Art Exhibition showcasing paintings by children concludes

Chandigarh:  A two-days art exhibition ‘Meri Pehchaan’ organized by Chhaya School of Art (CSA) concluded at Government Art Gallery, Sector 10 here today. More than 300 paintings made by 100 students from the different schools of Tricity, who received training at Chhaya School of Art had displayed their art.

On this occasion, Ravneet Singh Khurana, an IRS officer, and special secretary to the government of Punjab graced the event as Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaushik Sinha, Chairman, Co-founder, and Director of CSA, said “Art is something which comes from within. But in today's competitive world, not everyone gets a good platform to showcase their talents. But Chhaya School of Art has made this a reality by providing budding artists with a 'stage' where they can learn and also showcase their creativity to people.”

Mrs. Praveen Sinha, Co-founder, of CSA said, "The students of Chhaya School of Art have competed at the state, national, and the international level.  Students  displayed their artworks in the exhibition, thereby providing them with the right exposure."

A highlight of the exhibition was that under the initiative of Chhaya School of Art to help underprivileged children - 40 young artists also distributed books and stationery items among needy students from the amount collected out of their own pocket money.

In the exhibition, one got a glimpse of a blend of superior artistic skills and creativity of young painters. The showcase presented a pretty picture and looked like some festival of art with beautiful works making the environment colorful.

The motive behind organizing 'Meri Pehchaan' was to conduct an extravaganza displaying the works of different students from numerous schools under one roof.
